Srila Rupa Goswami gives the essence of all advice in his Upadesamrta. That is,"One should utilize one’s full time—twenty-four hours a day—in nicely chanting and remembering the Lord’s divine name, transcendental form, qualities and eternal pastimes, thereby gradually engaging one’s tongue and mind. In this way one should reside in Vraja [Goloka Vrndavana dhama] and serve Krsna under the guidance of devotees. One should follow in the footsteps of the Lord’s beloved devotees, who are deeply attached to His devotional service." NOI 8

Here are some of my top tips for organizing and inspiring your troops:

1. Focus on hearing and chanting together with lots of participation from the members of the group. We chant the Brahma Samhita together as well as a chapter of Gita and some astakams. When devotees feel a togetherness through hearing and chanting, they naturally feel enthusiastic to distribute the holy names to others.

2. Identify leaders. Find the members of your group who show the most initiative and then empower them to lead others. In this way you can expand.
